A school-based health center (SBHC) is an on-site medical office that offers students safe and convenient access to a wide range of healthcare, right at school.Ìý
¿ì²¥³ÉÈËÍø Children’s partners with the Delaware Department of Public Health and the Colonial, Christina and Seaford School Districts to provide high-quality medical and behavioral healthcare at SBHCs in 17 schools.

Physical Health Services

Preventative Care:
- Immunizations (including flu shots and other vaccines)
- Annual physicals
- Sports physicals
- Health screenings (including vision, hearing and scoliosis)
Acute Care:
- Sick visits for minor illnesses and injuries
- Medication and checkups for various medical conditions
Chronic Condition Management:
- Asthma and diabetes (medicine and checkups)
Behavioral Health Services:
- Individual therapy
- Family therapyÌý
- Group therapy
- Behavioral health education for students, families and school staffÌý
- Consultation with otherÌýmental health providers to ensure comprehensive care

Telehealth
- Connects students to ¿ì²¥³ÉÈËÍø specialists from the SBHC
- Connects families to the SBHC so they can participate in their child’s visits
Social Needs
Social determinants of health screenings upon enrollment and annually thereafter to assess nonmedical social factors that may influence your child’s health. If desired, we can connect your family to services that address nonphysical factors to help improve your child’s long-term health and well-being.
